More and more at weddings you will not only see 1 cake, but 2;  a wedding cake and a groom’s cake.

Many couples are designing groom’s cakes to reflect the groom’s hobbies or interests. Cakes such as a Sport’s Jersey, Tennis Shoe, Golf Clubs etc. have graced our bakery. Take a peek at a few below.

The groom’s cake can be sliced and served along side of the wedding cake or packed to go as a favor for your guests to enjoy as a late night treat. Another option would be to serve it at your rehearsal dinner or next day brunch.

Whatever theme/style or flavor you decide to do for your groom’s cake, it’s a fabulous addition that adds a personal touch to your wedding.

What type of groom’s cake will you feature at your wedding?

The beloved groom deserves a cake that’s all his own.  Something that brings out his personality or reflects a hobby.

Alex…our shoe lover (75 in his collection) requested this awesome cake.  Two shoe boxes stacked on top of each other and a replica of the shoe his bride was to wear and a replica of his favorite pair of Nike.  The shoes are hand sculpted from gumpaste and hand painted.  The fondant covered cake had delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.

Michael and Allison, who wed at the lovely Westlake Village Inn, enjoyed this grooms cake during the rehersal dinner.  Allison completely surprised her husband to be  by ordering this cake for him.  Michael is a huge fan of the movie Finding Nemo.  We created wedding bands and placed them in the edible clam shell on top of the cake.  Nemo and Dori make a cute pair at the base of the cake.  This really was…A Sweet Catch!!
