Grooms Cakes

The beloved groom deserves a cake that’s all his own.  Something that brings out his personality or reflects a hobby.

Alex…our shoe lover (75 in his collection) requested this awesome cake.  Two shoe boxes stacked on top of each other and a replica of the shoe his bride was to wear and a replica of his favorite pair of Nike.  The shoes are hand sculpted from gumpaste and hand painted.  The fondant covered cake had delicious red velvet cake with cream cheese filling.

Michael and Allison, who wed at the lovely Westlake Village Inn, enjoyed this grooms cake during the rehersal dinner.  Allison completely surprised her husband to be  by ordering this cake for him.  Michael is a huge fan of the movie Finding Nemo.  We created wedding bands and placed them in the edible clam shell on top of the cake.  Nemo and Dori make a cute pair at the base of the cake.  This really was…A Sweet Catch!!

All of the grooms cakes are so creative!!! The shoes look so real, the Nemo cake is beautiful and the Superman concept is just great! It’s obvious that the team at A Sweet Design has their thinking caps on….and take the time to add a personal touch to their creations. This is why I only order my cakes from them. Keep up the good work!

  3. I’m continually amazed by the talent of A Sweet Design… the cakes are almost too beautiful to eat (I said “almost”) and the taste/quality is better than any others I’ve tasted (and I’ve eaten a LOT of cake in my time!). I can’t wait for the next event when I’ll get to enjoy one of these fabulous cakes… or maybe I’ll just head over there today for something out of the front display case… cupcake… cookie… cake… too many choices!!!
