Beverly Hills Hillbillies

Steven and Joezen know how to host an event.  Their beautiful wedding was held at the Beverly Hills Beverly Hills Country ClubCountry Club this past Saturday, 8/16/08.  Attention to detail and respect for the enviroment was their main focus.  Everything from centerpieces, give aways and how you responded to the invite were all GREEN! The centerpieces were flowers that they both planted into pottery they already had in the back yard.  Then, they followed up with care instructions on their website.

Thank you both for letting us share in your wonderfully special day!!

New Standards

Adnan, married 8-8-08 to Afnan at the Olympic Collection, has set the standards much higher for men.  To much surprise, the amazing toasting glasses seen here were decorated by groom.  Not only the wine glassess but the knife set as well.  He incorporated their colors; green and pink in a fantastic pattern that just made the set sparkle.  I was so impressed when his coordinator told me the details.  “He spent almost 2 weeks working on them, glueing each crystal in place, one at a time”.

The whole room was an amazing, romantic fairytale from the waterfall inside the room to the double sached chivari chairs  It was obvious that all details were carefully planned and well orchestrated.

I can’t wait to see the pictures of the rest of the evening.

What will it take?!!!!

It’s Monday and her wedding is Saturday…my sweet bride (which we will name Princess instead of revealing her true name) just called me and asked for a referral.  Princess needs a DJ because hers has backed out.  I referred her to my website which has a list of vendors who would never think of canceling on a client 6 days before the event!!!!

I feel so bad for Princess and wish that she had a….COORDINATOR!!!!  A certified, experienced event coordinator.  A truly professional organizer and planner.  An event planner at this very moment in time would be calling every DJ in her rolodex, handeling the situation..allowing Princess to enjoy her out-of-town guests and all the fun details that come with being a bride-to-be

What will it take for Grooms and Brides to realize that a coordinator is part of the process of planning a wedding and not an addedd expense. Budget for matches as keepsakes but don’t consider an Event Planner that will execute all the plans and ideas that took 10 months to create.  I DON’T get it.  Magazine after magazine shows us spreads of amazing and elaborate weddings…they didn’t happen by chance.  An event planner orchestrated the masterpiece in those pages.  Most likely 10 things went wrong along the way, but a fantastic event planner would never let you know about a single one of them

My moto:  Friends don’t let friends use them as “coordinators”.  Friends give friends the number of a PBC (Professional Bridal Consultant)
